Study Abroad Opportunity

In an optional free elective course, Global Health Management (HAD 517) provides an introduction to international healthcare services and systems and a foundation for understanding, comparing, and analyzing select healthcare services and systems. Students have the opportunity to travel for 10 days to foreign countries such as Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Brazil and others. Studies specifically focus on determinants of health and illness, health status indicators, health policy, how healthcare services and systems are organized, structured, financed, and delivered.
