    • Forensic Accounting - Gives you the choice between five electives in topics such as advanced auditing, financial statement analysis, and occupational abuse. Our Forensic Accounting courses are continually reviewed by our Accounting Department Professional Alumni Council, so you learn the latest techniques for preventing and detecting fraud. As a forensic accountant, you might work closely with law enforcement institutions, provide courtroom testimony, look for inconsistencies in financial statements, conduct advanced audits, and more.
    • Accounting Analytics - Prepares you to assess competitive intelligence, simulate real-world business situations, apply forecasting models, and use the R programming language relied on by statisticians and data miners.

MAcc Bridge Options — Open to Non-Accounting Majors

Students with a bachelor's degree in any subject are encouraged to apply for the online MAcc program through the Accounting Bridge option*, which offers the necessary prerequisite courses online to provide the foundation in accounting needed to be successful in the master's program. Applicants need to have completed at least one 3-credit financial accounting course with a grade of B or better from an accredited institution.

^ Students entering the MAcc program through the Bridge option may take longer to complete the program than 20 months (part-time attendance) or 10 months (full-time attendance).

*If seeking a CPA please note: Many states require 150 semester hours of education within a prescribed accounting coursework curriculum for obtaining the CPA license. Students without prior accounting and related coursework are unlikely to meet this requirement through completing the MAcc program. Such students may need to complete additional required course(s). Please refer to your individual state's requirements.
